Now that we have reviewed the work of our interns Justine and Benjamin in our last publication, let’s look at the work done by our third intern Emile:
I am working on the improvement of a retinal image analysis tool whose goal is to find a link between the oxygenation of the back of the eye and early signs of Parkinson's disease. I explored several detection algorithms to automatically find the position of the optic nerve in retinal images and verified my results using a two-dimensional correlation test. I also contributed to the verification of a theoretical model of oxygen saturation measurement using a principal value decomposition algorithm of a large amount of spectra. Finally, I am currently working on the computation and adaptation of monkey eye data in order to facilitate their integration into a database.
